LimeLight Facial is an IPL (intense pulsed light) skin care treatment that treats diffuse red skin, telangiectasia (tiny veins) or brown spots. Light brown spots, which were previously difficult to resolve, respond very well to treatment. And, LimeLight can be used where you need it most – on the face, chest, arms and hands without gel or topical anesthetics.
How LimeLight Facial & Photo Genesis Work
LimeLight and Photo Genesis is a form of laser skin rejuvenation with minimal discomfort. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy uses a specialized device that delivers a specific wavelength of light to the targeted area of the skin. It improves skin tone and reduces the appearance of sunspots and other imperfections associated with sun damage.
Advantages of Limelight Facial & Photogenesis Treatment
LimeLight is fast and pain-free. It does not require anesthesia or pain medication. Several areas can be treated in a single session, which lasts only about an hour. Laser skin rejuvenation results emerge very quickly and there is almost no downtime.
Is this laser skin treatment right for me?
LimeLight is ideal for patients who want to rejuvenate the face and neck. It can eliminate brown spots, redness and the appearance of small veins. Light-colored brown spots that do not respond well to other forms of treatment are easily resolved.
How many treatments will I need?

When will I see results?
Most results begin to appear rapidly and will fully emerge within one to three weeks upon starting the skin rejuvenation treatment.
PDT – Photodynamic Therapy in La Jolla, San Diego
Photodynamic therapy requires about an hour of preparation. During this time, oils are removed from the surface of the skin while a specialized chemical is applied, prompting the body to generate a natural substance called PPIX. A specialized light is used to “activate” the PPIX, which causes it to eliminate damaged skin.
Advantages of Photodynamic Therapy
Photodynamic treatment is useful in cases where other aesthetic treatments are not potent enough to secure results. It is one of the most effective treatments available for severe sun damage, whether it results from an acute sunburn or chronic sun exposure.
Is it right for me?
Photodynamic treatment is most effective for patients with major skin damage. In addition to wrinkles, it can also treat serious sunburn, rosacea, cystic acne and uneven skin tone caused by other issues. It is usually not recommended if facial wrinkles are the main or only problem.
How many treatments will I need?
The number of treatments needed by an individual will vary based on how aggressively the patient wishes to treat targeted areas. Most patients take a conservative approach that requires a larger number of less intense treatments – usually two to four total spaced three to five weeks apart.
When will I see results?
Patients begin to see results within three to five days of their initial treatment.
